One Sleepless Night Down.....

......how many to go??? Mattingly was banned to his crib last night. :) and :( He did well I have to say. He woke up at 11:30 and ate and went back down until 2 and talked and whined a little and went back to sleep until 3:15 and I let him cry and then went in to put him on his belly and then he woke up again at 4 and I fed him and he went back to sleep and is sleeping and it's 6:30am. Meanwhile I didn't sleep b/c of anticipation and then him actually waking and then Melky barking and pacing the house later to find out it was b/c he needed to go outside. So now our house smells like poo.

Silly Man

Today Mattingly was trying to sit up in the bouncy seat at daycare. It looked like he was going to lean forward out of it. :) Earlier in the morning he was eating and trying to take a little girls' socks while they were on her.(they were pumas that's why.) I didn't get a picture today but he was doing it last week too.

Photo Session

2 months ago I went to the pictures studio in Wal Mart in Cromwell....don't ever go there. The long in the short is that I JUST got the pictures yesterday and they weren't even all there! Whatever. So here are some of the pictures. I think he looks more grown up now. (Thanks Aunt Em for the shirt)

Cereal

Mattingly started cereal yesterday. I don't think he is quite sure what to think of it yet. He was making nasty faces but wanted more. He didn't eat too much of it. I'm sure with time he will. I gave him a little today too. Another big day today-Mark stayed home with Mattingly today while I had a conference to go to today! They had a good day. Both are living and I didn't receive any phone calls. haha A sense of relief for me. :)

4 months

Today Mattingly had his 4 month check up. He is now 15lbs 6oz and 25 1/4in. He got some more vaccinations which I did better with this time. He cried a little and that was it. He smiles so much now and loves sucking on his hand or the nearest shirt. It's so cute. He does great on his belly and likes playing with his feet while on his back. I think I may try a little formula this weekend and will start the cereal too pretty soon. I can't believe it's time already! (if I want it to be anyway) Then there's the sleeping in the crib at night drama. Don't worry he'll get in there sometime. haha I know that's the big question and nag everyone has for me. The doctor said he should be able to go from when he goes to bed around 8 until around 4am without eating. The problem is the crying when you stick him in there. He said oh it could take about 2 weeks and a little less sleep for you. I'm praying it will be easy for the both of us. :)

MN trip pictures

Minnesota

We are in Minnesota now hanging out at my brother's apt. We came in Friday morning for my cousin Manda's wedding. Mattingly was super on the plane and then had a fun day of hanging out with Aunt Katy(and Uncle Joel later); while I was in the wedding. Saturday my sister, brother in law and Ella met us here and we went to an orchard. I bought Ella a donut against her mother's will. That was fun. You have to spoil them a little right?! It was really cool that they were here for a wedding which was on Friday as well so it worked out perfectly. :) Saturday night we went to my grandma's for dinner with my aunt and uncle and Joel and Katy. Then yesterday we went to my friend Tamara and Nobong's house. We weren't there very long though b/c their son started throwing up. Then we walked to Target b/c it is so close to Joel's apt. That was cool. Good thing I'm not within walking distance there or half of the other things they can walk to! Today we are just hangin out. I think I may call my aunt to take us out for a little bit. I will post the pictures when I get home. We fly in at 10:20pm tonight! So it may be a few days. I will need to recover!! (PS. We miss daddy; he couldn't make the trip b/c it was so much $ to fly)
