Little sister

I love being with my little sister. Playing in the sensory table, pushing her outside or even being a gentle spiderman. We went with Payton and her little sister Skylar to an event at the park last week. Payton and I got our faces painted! We waited in line and actually went through with getting it done. Our moms were so proud! We had fun bouncing and going down the big inflatable slide too!

Pre-school

Yesterday was Mattingly's first day of pre-school! He did really well. I dropped him off and kind of just walked out of the room. I did a little shopping and went to pick him up. He was sitting listening for music time. We stayed a little bit longer so he could participate and then he wanted to leave. He played with a little boy Garrison whom he hit it off with at the open house. I'm glad! We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Uncle Joel and Aunt Katy visit

We didn't get to see them much b/c they were busy traveling all over but it was fun anyway. We hung out Labor Day at mom and dad's. Ate, toured Elim Park, fed the ducks and played ball. Wed we ventured to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. Cute place. Smaller than Mystic but I liked it. Mattingly loved touching the sting rays and baby sharks. We had to go there twice! After that we ate pizza at Zorba's. Then this past Sunday they came over with mom and dad for lunch and more baseball. Then we went out for ice cream. Always great to have you guys here! Next time you can actually stay with us!! =)

Deer

One morning Mark saw some deer outside so he called Mattingly to the window. Myla followed. They had a fun time watching 3 adult and 2 baby deer outside eating apples. As they were watching Myla grabbed Mattingly's hand. It was adorable!!

Labor Day Weekend

All of went to the beach Labor Day weekend for one last beach day. (maybe) Mattingly has really started to get out in the water and enjoy it. He was testing out his boogie board trying to jump on it. A little too close to shore but he managed to catch a few small waves. He has become adventurous in the water. He just goes right in with no problems and no one has to go in with him. He heard Susan and Alan were coming so Janet and I buried him in the sand to pretend Mattingly had left so he could surprise them. We had to take a picture of the 3 cousins so I wrote cousins out in the sand and tried to snap a picture quickly. I have one of them standing nicely that I will post on Myla's blog and then there's this silly one of Lleyton pulling Mattingly in turn pulling Myla but she is pulling Mattingly back b/c she can't walk. It was great. A gorgeous day as well! I'll miss you lots summer!!
