Monkey boy

I bought Mattingly a monkey costume (of course) for Halloween. We had a parade at the daycare yesterday and he needed one for that so Mark took him out trick or treating tonight. He didn't really want to go. He was tired but once he did Mark said he liked it. He went to about 5 houses on our street. Not many people were giving candy out, which is fine because he doesn't need it! He was so cute carrying his baseball bag around like a big boy. He was trying to say "trick or treat" before he went out and Mark was trying to get him to say that and "thank you" but he was too shy Mark said. Oh well he enjoyed the candy after. =)

Hi

Mattingly LOVES our cell phones. He gets especially excited to see dad's for some reason. He dials some numbers and then puts it to his ear and says "hi".

Friday was

picture day. It was a bust! First of all the director changed companies so I found out it wasn't our regular plain background. =( It was a haystack and sunflowers and fake trees and a fake stump! I was not happy. I had to change the outfit I had picked out; the night before! So I went with overalls and a flannel. Mattingly didn't even have any dress shirts to wear so that's what it was. Oh I stuck a hat on him too. Then he hardly even smiled. I guess I'll try to use my Wal Mart compensation from when he was 3 months. Anyhow here he is in the outfit.

Bishop's Farm

It didn't rain today so I decided it was the perfect day to take Mattingly to pet some animals, go on a hayride and find a pumpkin. I asked Laura to come because I haven't seen her in forever and Mark was working on his parent's cottage. It was rather chilly but fun. Mattingly saw a few animals but not many. He went on his first "fair" ride. It was the one with the transportation vehicles that go in a circle. He wasn't sure about it at first but he didn't want to get off. He didn't mind the hayride, but once again chilly. We bought some fresh apple cider donuts before we left in which Mattinly enjoyed. Not sure I'd go there again but it fulfilled my itch. =)
