E4

My sister, Eric, Ella, and Edie came to visit last week so Mattingly and I had a busy week. We went to Dinosaur Place where the cousins played in the splashpad area and had a few playgrounds and a volcano that erupted and in which both kids were afraid. Ella ran away screaming. Friday was low key my sister was at a B&B so Laura and I were going to take Mattingly and Ella blueberry picking but the season hadn't started yet so we went to the park. That night Em, Ella, my dad, Mattingly and I went to the little carnival in Cheshire. Mattingly was tired and didn't like the loud noises. He'd only ride the train with me and wanted to try to win prizes. Ella and Papa went down the super slide 3 times I think. She really liked that and the ferris wheel. Saturday was Gillette Castle and a bbq in mom and dad's back yard with one of my sister's friends from younger days and her family. I wanted to go to the Rock Cats game on Sunday but it was raining so my sister met me at the outlets and I found a dress for Mark's cousin Tracy's wedding in August and she bought Myla a few things. Monday we headed to the beach and spent some time with Mark's parents and brother and sister in law. We had beautiful weather again. Tuesday we took a "hike" on a trail and tried looking for wild animals. We did spot a deer and hear some frogs. Then the girls went to the nail salon while the kids napped and I was off to go home b/c I was exhausted and had to work at 7am the next 3 days. The time is never long enough, only the drives! The girls don't know me well enough so they didn't really want to hang out with me but it was still fun to see them!

Unexpected day with mom (and a buddy)

I showed up to work today to find no power! That made me excited. It had already been out for an hour by the time I arrived so they were only minutes away from calling parents. We had no idea why it went out or when it was going back on so we had to close. I offered to take one of Mattingly's friends for the day since they didn't know what they were going to do and he's buddies with Mattingly. So we headed to the beach to meet Mattingly at his grandma's house. We sat on the beach in the fog for just about 2 hours then we ate outside and took a ride on the golf cart. Then it was off to our house in hopes that they would sleep in the car....no luck. We got home and did a million things in the house and went outside to do a million more. It was nice. They had little spats but a lot had to do with the lack of sleep I think. After the day I am kind of glad I will have a girl next. At least I hope she's a little calmer! ;)

Happy 3rd Birthday!!

My little love is now 3 years old! I can't believe it! How much he has grown even in just a year. He's a little smarty pants and alec! Definitely keeps us on our toes! He loves music-dancing, singing or playing his guitar; he loves playing ball-baseball, soccer, football, kickball. He still doesn't really eat meat much. Maybe a few bites of a burger. No veggies unless it's carrots with dip but enjoys fruits. He has a huge sweet tooth!! Ice cream, cake, cookies, candy and the list goes on. He'd much rather snack like his father than eat a meal. Because of all this he takes 2 vitamins a night. Nothing much happening with peeing in the potty but I'm hoping the move to pre school is going to help! He has gone twice but doesn't regularly sit on the potty despite me buying a Dora seat cover. He's very full of life and personality. I love it most days. But days like today where my allergies are bothering me, Mark is working late, I'm hungry, tired and pregnant, I just wanna watch TV. We played for a while outside until a tick crawled on him. That convinced him to come in and take a bath! =)

For his 3rd birthday we had a little bash at Grandma and Grandpa Fitch's house at the beach. He had been looking forward to his birthday since mine at the end of March. He loved every minute. I bought "Toy Story" plates, napkins, cups and he had the Buzz shirt on and opened an abundance of "Toy Story" presents. He also had cupcakes with the characters on them. It was a beautiful day for a party! (I need to a add a few more pictures)
