Relaxing by the pool

We went to Kate's house yesterday to play in the pool. It was such a beautiful day out! The pool was chilly but Mattingly forced some of us to stay in so he could play "catch" with us. Kate's dad even jumped in for a little bit to play. Then her brother came home and stood outside the pool to catch the ball and play with Mattingly. (I just saw that I never posted this; it was in my drafts)

Baseball

has become a nightly routine. Mattingly gets his bat, ball and glove and says "baseball". He decides who does what and switches it up during the game too. He does very well hitting the ball when thrown strikes. We still have to work on catching and we have a find a glove for a lefty.

New bedroom set

Mattingly's bedroom set came in!!! We got the call just before we left for Sesame Place and picked it up the day we returned. It took a few nights for him to adjust but now he's in there sleeping thru the night again. =) (I still need to do a little decorating)

Sesame Place

We finally ventured out of Connecticut as a family!!! This time I wasn't alone. =) We took a 5 hour drive (with traffic) to Pennsylvania to see Elmo and friends. It was definitely worth it. Saturday we hung out and went to the outlets, which sadly weren't anything special. Sunday we headed to the park on an overcast day. But it was nice b/c then we weren't too hot. Mattingly of course was frightened of the characters when they were close but would wave hello or goodbye from a distance. He loved going on the tea cup ride with daddy. I couldn't do that one. I was sick from the merry go round. We got our picture taken with Elmo and after he even gave him a high 5. We watched a few of the shows they put on and the parade and we were pooped. Monday wasn't as busy and it was warmer since the sun was out. The lines were shorter for the rides so we took advantage of that and then we headed over to the water area. Mattingly had a blast there. He was afraid of the huge area with the big bucket that dumps water every few minutes but they had a few wading pools with sprinklers that were nice. Since we had a season pass we got 30% off food and merchandise! Oh and the hotel did free airbrush tattoos that I made Mattingly do b/c I knew he'd like them after they were done. So he got a cookie monster one and a dinosaur. We'll have to do it again in a few years! =)

Buddy

Last week I took the day off to hang with my friend Laura. We went to Sonic to eat and to the park with her mom, friend Becca and dog Buddy. Mattingly had fun chasing Bud and trying to walk him.

Funny Face

Grandpa Ron always makes a scary/funny face (depending on Mattingly's mood) when he sees Mattingly. Now Mattingly tries to make the face at home.

Obsessed with

watching Ella reciting her Bible school memory verses and singing her song! Whenever I am on the computer Mattingly climbs up onto the desk and says Ella, watch? It's pretty cute but a little annoying that he wants to watch it over and over again.
